Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit

Location: Hickory, NC

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shift: 18:45 - 07:15; Every other weekend or as needed by the facility

Job Description: The Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) will provide high-quality care for adult and geriatric patients undergoing various cardiovascular surgeries and procedures.

Responsibilities:

Monitor and assess patients' conditions during the postoperative period.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Document patient care activities accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans.
Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management and recovery.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

Minimum of 1.5 years of experience in a CVICU is required.
Current RN license in the state of North Carolina.
ACLS and BLS certifications are required; CCRN preferred.
Associate Degree in Nursing required.
