An X-Ray Technologist operates radiographic equipment to produce clinical diagnostic images. The X-Ray Technologist will perform diagnostic procedures according to the established standards and radiation safety practices of the department. Prevents patients from being exposed to unnecessary radiation.Observes patients during procedures and reports abnormal activity.Must work with established procedures and methods, but is expected to prioritize assignments, deviate from schedules or alter the sequence of steps as necessary to obtain desired results.May be required to plan the work, assign work to, and instruct other employees.Able to work independently, while managing several projects simultaneously.Familiarity with preparing patients for surgical injections and assisting the Dr. with procedures.Circumstances may arise where operation of the C-arm & O-arm is neededPerforms other duties as needed.Qualifications:Must have completed an accredited 2 year radiology program.
