Job Full Description Packaging Line Operator Express Employment Professionals Bellwood, IL $17.00 - $20.00 per hour Express Employment Professionals is currently hiring Packaging Line Operators for a growing metal manufacturing facility in the Melrose Park area. What You'll Do As a Packaging Line Operator, you'll play a key role in preparing finished products for shipment while supporting daily production operations. Responsibilities include: Review work orders and verify the correct material by weight, size, alloy, and quality. Select and prepare finished products according to customer packaging specifications. Operate sit-down forklifts to transport materials throughout the production facility. Use hand tools and production equipment including: Automatic banding machines Shrink wrap equipment Core cutting machines Nail guns Circular saws Properly label and identify finished materials while completing required production documentation. Organize completed orders for shipping and staging. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Assist other production departments as needed to support daily operations. What We're Looking For Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred. Experience operating a sit-down forklift is highly preferred. Comfortable using basic hand tools and production equipment. Ability to read work orders and follow written and verbal instructions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to lift, move, and handle materials throughout the shift. English communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking).
