About the Position

Job Title: Chemo Certified Infusion RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Infusion Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:00 - 16:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience preferred License: CA RN License Certifications: BLS, ONS/ONCC Chemo Therapy Immunotherapy Provider Card Must-Have: - Charge experience preferred - Charting system experience required (Epic) Description: Chemo Certified Infusion RN needed. The role requires providing outpatient infusion services, including chemotherapy. Candidates should have experience in accessing and managing ports. Knowledge of acute tumor lysis syndrome and administration of blood products is crucial. Experience in monitoring chemotherapy and recognizing/managing side effects is necessary. Skills in administering chemotherapy and managing intravenous hydration are essential. The candidate should be familiar with patient and family education and support. Experience in managing pharmaceutical protocols and isolation precautions is needed. Knowledge of oncology-related conditions and treatments is preferred. The role may include occasional weekends if agreed upon. Interdisciplinary support will involve working alongside pharmacy and unit secretarial staff. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols is vital in this position. Strong communication skills are necessary to support patient care and education. Candidates should be prepared for compliance with onboarding and work history verification requirements. This position offers a collaborative environment focused on patient care.
