Job Description Position Summary We are seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead engineering, maintenance, equipment development, and continuous improvement activities within a manufacturing and remanufacturing environment. This position combines technical leadership, project management, equipment development, troubleshooting, and people management. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working directly with production equipment and test systems while also managing engineers and technicians, prioritizing projects, developing capital plans, and supporting broader operational objectives.

- Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team consisting of engineers, engineering technicians, and maintenance technicians.
- Manage engineering projects from concept and justification through design, procurement, installation, commissioning, and production handoff.
- Develop and execute CAPEX projects focused on capacity, capability, safety, quality, cost reduction, and process improvement.
- Design, develop, modify, and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment, automated test systems, fixtures, and production tooling.
- Support electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, controls, and automation systems used throughout manufacturing and testing operations.
- Develop and support automated test equipment and data-acquisition systems, including PLC-, DAQ-, and LabVIEW-based applications.
- Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions for equipment, process, and product-related failures.
- Work closely with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Product Engineering, Finance, and IT to resolve technical issues and implement improvements.
- Develop equipment specifications and technical requirements, and work with machine builders, integrators, vendors, and contractors.
- Evaluate new technologies and manufacturing methods to improve productivity, reliability, test capability, and automation.
- Establish preventive maintenance, calibration, documentation, and equipment-support practices for critical production and laboratory equipment.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, Automation Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- 5+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing, industrial automation, test engineering, equipment engineering, or a related environment.
- Demonstrated experience designing, commissioning, troubleshooting, or supporting industrial equipment.
- Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems and industrial controls.
- Experience managing multiple technical projects simultaneously.
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause-analysis skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technicians, engineers, production personnel, vendors, and senior management.
- Previous engineering leadership or supervisory experience.
- Experience with LabVIEW, PLCs, industrial controls, DAQ systems, instrumentation, and automated testing.
- Experience with hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Experience developing or supporting end-of-line or functional test equipment.
- Experience with variable-frequency drives, motors, sensors, instrumentation, and industrial electrical systems.
- Experience with CAPEX development, equipment procurement, machine commissioning, and vendor management.
- Familiarity with CAD, electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and engineering documentation.
- Experience in automotive, remanufacturing, heavy equipment, power electronics, or similar manufacturing environments.
