Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist


Location: Lake Charles, LA


Pay: $85/hr


Shifts: Nights - 6:00PM-6:00AM & 7:00PM-7:00AM


Seven Healthcare are seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a travel assignment in Lake Charles, LA. This role focuses on providing critical pulmonary care to adult ICU patients across two facilities. Nurses will experience a dynamic work environment with variable shifts between Lake Charles and St. Patrick facilities.

Key Responsibilities of the Registered Respiratory Therapist
  • Emergency response, including Code Blue and White
  • Airway management and suctioning
  • Delivery of aerosolized drugs
  • Ventilator management, including setup and operation
  • Oral hygiene and airway/device maintenance
  • Management of BiPAP and CPAP devices
  • Oxygen delivery and therapeutic monitoring
  • Chest film and EKG analysis
  • Blood gas collection and analysis
  • Accurate documentation and equipment management
  • Participation in CAP and JC surveys
  • Potential shift or team leader responsibilities
  • Advanced practice skills such as hemodynamic monitoring and bronchoscopy assist
Requirements of the Registered Respiratory Therapist
  • RT or RCP License in state of employment required
  • BLS Required via AHA
  • ACLS Required via AHA
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by NBRC required
  • Must have adult ICU experience
  • CRT's may be accepted with critical care experience
