Retail Sales Associate – Floor & Decor. Purpose Floor & Decor’s Sales Associates play a key role in continuously providing customers with friendly, accurate service and support in finding products to complete their project. Our Sales Associates contribute to a fast‑paced, safe environment by keeping sales departments clean and well stocked. Required Qualities Friendly and enthusiastic Entrepreneur and hard‑working Honest and accountable Excellent communication and listening skills Pay Range $16.50 – $21.00 Essential Job Functions Connect with customers, ask about their projects, recommend products and excite them about their purchase. Provide above and beyond customer service and exceed expectations when assisting customers. Maintain the in‑stock condition of assigned areas and keep it clean, shoppable and safe. Work with management and team members to achieve sales goals. Process customers at checkout using POS system. Process refunds and exchanges per guidelines. Follow cash, check and credit card acceptance procedures. Create price tags and merchandise signs; stock, tag and display merchandise. Act consistently with the company’s core values. Adhere to the company’s safety processes. Answer telephone per company guidelines. Assists in other store areas as needed. Work accurately in a fast‑paced environment. Minimum Eligibility Requirements Must be 18 years or older. Basic math skills. Customer service experience. Ability to handle multiple tasks and work well under pressure. Some positions may require forklift certification. Where permissible, heavy equipment certification requires drug testing. Working Conditions (Travel & Environment) Occasionally exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles; noise typically quiet to moderate. Physical/Sensory Requirements Ability to exert 30–60 pounds occasionally, 20–30 pounds frequently, or up to 20 pounds constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Frequent standing, walking, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling.
