Overview
Registered Nurse – Med Surg, Utica, NY. This travel assignment starts 06/29/2026 for a 13‑week term. Weekly pay ranges from $2,122 to $2,272 per week with 36 guaranteed hours. Shift: Night, 2x3 Nights. Setting: inpatient medical‑surgical care with a broad unit scope including oncology, hematology, nephrology, endocrinology, GI, dermatology and general medicine.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult patients (18+) across Med Surg, Oncology, Hematology, and related specialties; monitor condition, administer medications, IV therapy, and basic wound/line care.
- Perform comprehensive assessments, develop and modify care plans, implement orders, and document in the EMR (EPIC) accurately and timely.
- Administer chemotherapy when required and in accordance with chemo certification; manage isolation precautions and safety protocols.
- Administer and monitor IV pumps, NG tubes, chest tubes, and specialty beds; respond promptly to changes in patient status.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care, discharge planning, and family education; participate in rounds as assigned.
- Floats to related units as needed to meet patient care needs and staffing requirements.

Requirements
- Active New York RN license; NURSYS license verification showing an ACTIVE NY license and all RN licenses
- Certifications: Current AHA BLS, NIHSS, and Chemo Certification required
- Experience: 2+ years in Med Surg and Oncology; travel experience required
- EMR: EPIC experience
- Education: Nursing degree from an accredited program
- Additional requirements: Ability to work in an inpatient Med Surg setting; local candidates may be eligible for local rate (within 75 miles); driver’s license with address matching demographics; RTO requests must be included at time of submission
