As a Security Officer Preventive Area Patrol in New York, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic tech and media location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support a welcoming environment through strong communication and customer service while embodying a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team culture built on integrity and teamwork.

Pay Rate: $23.25 - $24.25 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a dynamic technology and media location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and/or other assigned areas, assist with badge and visitor procedures, and report maintenance, access, or security-related issues according to post orders.
• Support day-to-day operations by remaining visible at assigned posts, providing directions and assistance, and escalating concerns involving people, property, and/or policy violations.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A state, county, and/or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
