Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 Years RN Experience; 1 Year of In-Specialty Experience License: WV/Compact RN License required - can submit with pending RN license Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - CV or General Surgery Experience is a must - Circulate and Scrub Experience - Cardiac and General Surgery experience - Proficient at vein harvesting and radial artery harvesting - Experience with Vascular, Ortho, General, ENT, Urology, Robotics, and GYN procedures Description: Seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse. Candidates must have cardiovascular or general surgery experience. This position requires three 12-hour day shifts from 06:45 to 19:15. Weekend call is required on a schedule of 1 day of call per week. 1-2 weekend calls should be scheduled every 4-5 weeks. The average daily case census is 22. Proficiency in the following skills is mandatory: - Vascular surgeries including AV fistulas, aortic surgeries, carotids, and embolectomies. - Orthopedic surgeries including arthroscopies and total joint replacements. - General surgeries including colorectal resections and laparoscopic procedures. - ENT procedures such as tracheostomies and laryngectomies. - Urology procedures including cystectomies and nephrectomies. - Robotic surgeries including gynecologic and colorectal procedures. - GYN surgeries including abdominal and vaginal hysterectomies. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to respond to on-call requirements with a 30-minute response time. This role promotes teamwork and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Candidates will be expected to adhere to all protocols and safety standards during surgical procedures.
