Varian Medical Systems, a Siemens Healthineers company is hiring a Clinical Training Specialist (CSL) for the Atlanta, GA area supporting Varian Interventional Solutions (VIS) by providing in‑person case coverage, clinical education, and first‑line technical support for VIS products. This role trains and guides physicians, nurses, and hospital staff on proper product use, assists during procedures in a hands‑off clinical support capacity, and ensures equipment, disposables, and procedural documentation are fully managed. The specialist also supports product installations, addresses customer training needs, contributes to medical affairs activities, and represents VIS at trainings, demos, and industry events. The position requires strong clinical knowledge (IR/CT, OR, sterile technique), excellent communication skills, the ability to work in fast‑paced procedural environments, and regional travel of approximately 50%. What you will do: Provide in‑person case coverage Ensure product/s and ancillary components are available for each case. Complete and process all procedure related paperwork as required. Track and report all customer complaints. Ensure physicians and staff have the most current information available. Manage a disposable inventory sufficient to cover assigned case load. Bring products (including Microwave and Cryoablation generators) to cases as required. Train and educate physicians and hospital staff on use of assigned VIS products Provide on‑site clinical support during procedures while maintaining a “hands off” posture in relation to direct patient contact. Interact with customers and functional organizations to determine their training needs and use engineering documentation such as Operators Manuals and DFUs to develop content of courses. May coordinate or lead customer and/or employee training classes. May also conduct large group presentations at seminars, training programs, and trade shows. May also provide demo support to local, regional and national customer trade events. Provide first line product technical support Perform new installation support to ensure products are working as specified. Provide first line technical service support via Engineering or Field Service Engineer oversight, when necessary. Collaborate with the VIS Medical Affairs Team Assist Medical Education, Medical Information, and Medical Science Liaisons if required. Document day to day interactions with physician customers. Provide competitive product performance information to headquarters marketing or engineering groups. What you will have: Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred. Clinical Background – IR/CT Technician, Operating Room Nurse or Surgical Technician preferred. Experience/Knowledge of IR suite, Operating Room Protocol and Sterile Technique. Experience in supporting vascular procedures highly regarded. Experience in supporting tissue ablation procedures highly regarded. Ability to work in a high‑intensity, fast‑paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills. Analytical with an ability/desire to solve problems. Team player. Ability to lift approx. 150 pounds Ability to travel regional and locally (approximately 50%). Vendor Credentialing Requirements Many Varian clients require employees and representatives to meet certain “Vendor Credentialing” requirements before they will be allowed to have access to their sites. This position requires having full access to client sites to perform the essential functions of this position. Unless prohibited by law, candidate must meet all Vendor Credentialing requirements necessary to have full client access, and must continue to meet those requirements during the course of employment in this position. These requirements vary by client and may include, but are not limited to: Proof of valid identification (photo, driver’s license, SSN), Criminal background checks, Drug screens, Immunizations (Hep B, MMR, Varicella, Influenza, Tetanus), Annual TB testing. The base pay range for this position is: $107,060 - $147,213 Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
