RN - PCU

Registered Nurse - ICU Stepdown

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day shifts, 3x12-hour schedule (06:45 - 19:15).

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse for an ICU Stepdown unit. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong drip experience and proficiency in managing a range of patient cases, including those requiring intensive monitoring and immediate care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients requiring respiratory support and hemodynamic monitoring.
• Perform telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias.
• Administer medication and manage IV insulin protocols.
• Handle arterial lines and titrate vasoactive drips as needed.
• Collaborate with Rapid Response Teams in emergency situations.
• Ensure appropriate care management for patients with complex medical needs.
• Participate in patient and family education regarding care plans and health management.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH.
• Experience with telemetry and conscious sedation.
• Proficient in central and peripheral line care, PICC line management, and blood product administration.
• Ability to manage and recognize dysrhythmias.
