The role includes working in the PACU setting. The shift is 8 hours long, during the day. The unit operates on a structured schedule with specific hours. The unit is closed every other Monday. Additional hours may be required if patients are still in the department. The nurse is expected to ensure patient safety and comfort post-anesthesia. Strong assessment and critical thinking skills are necessary for patient care. Effective communication with the healthcare team and patients is essential. The nurse will be responsible for monitoring patients as they recover. The candidate must hold current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and PALS. Experience in a similar setting is preferred. The role requires a valid nursing license.
