About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Revenue Cycle Officer (CRCO) to lead the strategic and operational aspects of the revenue cycle across its state-wide clinical and research missions. The CRCO will be a key partner to institutional leadership, particularly in the consolidation of multiple Epic instances into a single enterprise platform. This role is pivotal in driving the revenue cycle transformation, including the integration of emerging technologies and AI. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing an enterprise revenue cycle strategy, leading the revenue cycle workstream for major initiatives, and ensuring the alignment of billing operations with the company's financial goals. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a Master's degree strongly preferred, and at least 15 years of progressive revenue cycle leadership experience in a large, complex health system. Key responsibilities for the CRCO include maintaining a metrics-driven operation, improving the patient financial experience, and overseeing various revenue cycle functions. The role requires a leader with a proven track record in financial management, technology adoption, and change management, as well as the ability to build collaborative relationships in a matrixed governance environment. The CRCO will also be expected to lead a large, distributed team, manage budgets, and ensure operational accountability. Experience in a university-based health system or academic medical center, particularly in research billing compliance and value-based care contract management, is highly desirable.
