PCET Surgery Center is seeking a candidate for a Full-Time *Licensed Radiologic Technologist (R.T.)* *Currently holding a valid Tennessee X-Ray Operator License and registered with the ARRT*. This position is for a fast paced, high volume Ambulatory Surgery Center. Must be familiar with Sterile Technique and able to work in a team-oriented environment. _*Job Description *_

_*Licensed Radiologic Technologist Operating Room*_

_*Summary: *_The RT in the Operating Room is responsible for Fluoroscopy of procedures in the operating room under the supervision of a MD and a Registered Nurse.

_*Essential Position Responsibilities:*_

1. Assists the circulator and identifies the patient preoperatively and assesses accurate preparation for the Operating Room. Participates in the time-out process.

2. Uses the C-arm fluoroscopy for guidance per direction of the MD for pain procedures.

3. Maintains aseptic technique for the Operating Room environment.

4. Responsible for proper cleaning of the C-Arm on a daily basis.

5. Assists the circulator in preparation of the Operating Room or Procedure Room.

6. Checks C-arm equipment prior to start of the day for proper working order.

7. Responsible to provide all necessary lead shields, thyroid collars, and dosimetry badges to the entire surgical team daily. Responsible for monthly badge returns and distributions.

8. Maintains integrity of all x-ray shielding equipment by assuring proper storage of the aprons and collars. Performs an annual radiological exam of all aprons and collars and documents findings.

9. Anticipates and assists needs of all members of the surgical team in a timely manner.

10. Documents and saves fluoroscopy images daily.

11. Responsible to provide the patient with lead if indicated.

12.Cleans operating room each day with the circulator. Terminally cleans Operating Room Weekly to Include mopping, baseboards, wipe down all equipment. Documents cleaning.

13. Documents Temperature & humidity Logs daily

14. Other duties as assigned.

_*Qualifications:*_

_*Education: *_Graduate of an accredited school for Radiology Technicians. Must have current RT license for the state of TN. Must have a current BLS certification or obtain within 6 months of hire.

_*Experience: *_One years experience preferred as an RT providing Fluoroscopy.

_*Salary: *_Negoiated based on experience.

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
