Team Leader For Major Infrastructure Project

SMEC, a member of the Surbana Jurong Group, is a global engineering and development consultancy delivering infrastructure and environmental projects across international markets.

We are seeking a highly experienced Team Leader to lead construction supervision activities for a major infrastructure project involving roads, tunnels, and bridges. This opportunity is part of a project currently at the EOI stage, and we are engaging with qualified professionals in preparation for a potential project award.

The Team Leader will act as the primary representative to the Client (Employer), ensuring successful project delivery while managing the Construction Supervision Consultant (CSC) team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Construction Supervision Consultant (CSC) team

• Act as the main point of contact with the Client and key stakeholders

• Oversee construction supervision of roads, tunnels, and major bridge works

• Ensure compliance with FIDIC (or similar) contract conditions

• Monitor project progress, quality, safety, and cost performance

• Review contractor submissions, methodologies, and technical deliverables

• Provide leadership, coordination, and direction to multidisciplinary teams

• Support the Client on project-related matters as required

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering

• Professionally qualified Civil Engineer (Chartered / PE or equivalent preferred)

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required

• 20+ years of overall experience

• Minimum 10 years' experience in similar infrastructure projects (roads, tunnels, major bridges)

• Minimum 10 years' experience as a Project Manager / Team Leader

• Strong experience in projects delivered under FIDIC or similar contract conditions

• Proven leadership experience managing large supervision teams
