We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Rug Sales & Customer Service Specialist to take a leading role in rug sales at our St. Paul showroom. This individual will be responsible for driving retail rug sales while also supporting customers dropping off rugs for professional cleaning.

This is a key position within our team, requiring both sales ability and operational awareness, along with a proactive mindset to grow the rug sales side of the business.

Key Responsibilities

Rug Sales Leadership

• Take ownership of rug sales at the St. Paul showroom
• Assist customers in selecting rugs that fit their needs, space, and style
• Maintain strong product knowledge of handmade and machine-made rugs
• Collaborate with team members to enhance showroom presentation and sales strategy
• Identify opportunities and implement ideas to grow rug sales

Customer Service & Cleaning Intake

• Greet and assist customers dropping off rugs for cleaning
• Assess rugs and guide customers through cleaning options
• Create accurate invoices and intake records
• Upsell appropriate services such as specialty cleaning, stain treatment, or protection
• Ensure a smooth and professional customer experience from start to finish

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with other sales and operations staff
• Support a positive, professional showroom environment
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure excellent service and follow-through

Qualifications

• Prior sales experience required (furniture, rugs, or home furnishings preferred)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Comfortable engaging with customers and closing sales
• Organized and detail-oriented, especially with invoicing and order processing
• Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and lead within the showroom
• Ability to multitask between sales and customer service responsibilities
• College degree preferred, but not required
• Must be able to meet heavy lifting requirements

Compensation & Benefits

• Total compensation: $50,000 – $80,000 annually (base salary + commission)
