The Retail Store Manager oversees the daily operations of a medium-sized team (6-15 employees) to ensure efficient store functioning and excellent customer experiences. This role holds decision-making authority over operational and hiring matters and is responsible for driving local store promotions, managing budgets, and maintaining high standards in inventory and visual merchandising. Occasional travel to other store locations is required to support company-wide initiatives and consistent practices.

 

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead store staff to achieve performance goals
• Maintain accurate inventory control and stock levels
• Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve conflicts
• Analyze sales data to guide operational decisions
• Implement visual merchandising standards to enhance product presentation
• Oversee store budget and optimize expenses
• Train and develop team members to improve skills and performance
• Ensure smooth store operations on a daily basis
• Coordinate and execute local store marketing promotions
• Make operational and hiring decisions to support store success

 

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail management experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficiency with POS systems and inventory management
• Experience in sales forecasting
• Strong team leadership and customer relationship management skills
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management abilities
