Staff Electrical Engineer

Staff Electrical Engineer Location: Roy, UT. Relocation assistance may be available. Responsibilities Execute design and development of flight systems across a broad spectrum of applications. Procure and manufacture components and systems. Integrate and test novel flight systems. Create functional block diagrams (Visio preferred). Capture schematics (Altium preferred). Perform electrical simulation with PSPICE. Develop electrical requirements and assist system engineers. Conduct electrical analysis for compliance with requirements. Generate electrical interface control documents. Design electrical system architecture, including grounding, power distribution, communication buses, and discrete signaling. Select electrical components and subsystems. Design analog circuits. Coordinate basic electrical subsystem design. Qualifications (Required) 12 years with a Bachelor’s in Science; 10 years with a Master’s; or 8 years with a PhD. 2+ years of experience leading Electrical Engineering or technical teams. 5+ years of electrical design experience for hypersonic, flight, or missile systems. Active Secret clearance at the time of application, or the ability to obtain one within a reasonable period. Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval as required. Preferred Qualifications Experience with FPGA. Hands‑on troubleshooting of electrical hardware. Ability to present complex technical programs to non‑technical personnel and customers. Experience with CEM modeling tools such as HFSS. Cable design and testing. Engineering for EMI/EMC/ESD compliance, Mil‑Std‑464. Role as Responsible Engineer (RE) for electronics subsystems. Management of third‑party contractors and vendors. Benefits & Work Schedule Standard work schedule: 9/80 (nine‑hour days Monday through Thursday, every other Friday off).
