Data Analyst V – Pharmacovigilance (PV)

Sigma Inc. is seeking an experienced Data Analyst V – Pharmacovigilance (PV) to support our client, Boehringer Ingelheim – BIUSA, within the Global Pharmacovigilance organization. This role will support pharmacovigilance signal detection, safety data analysis, regulatory reporting, and product surveillance activities in a highly regulated pharmaceutical environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in pharmacovigilance, drug safety analytics, safety surveillance, data analysis, and reporting, with the ability to analyze complex safety information and provide insights to support regulatory and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform pharmacovigilance signal detection and analysis activities.
• Conduct safety data analysis to identify trends and potential safety signals.
• Generate monthly and quarterly pharmacovigilance trending reports.
• Perform data analysis and report generation for ad hoc pharmacovigilance requests.
• Support regulatory authority requests by providing accurate safety information and analysis.
• Provide data-driven insights to support internal stakeholders, including:
  • Marketing teams
  • Quality teams
  • External customers
  • Pharmacovigilance stakeholders
• Contribute to product surveillance and risk management activities.
• Support ongoing safety monitoring activities within a highly regulated pharmaceutical environment.
• Analyze and interpret safety-related data to support decision-making.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting standards.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as:
  • Pharmacovigilance
  • Life Sciences
  • Epidemiology
  • Statistics
  • Healthcare
  • Data Analytics
  • Related discipline
• Experience working in pharmacovigilance, drug safety, or safety surveillance.
• Knowledge of:
  • Signal detection methodologies
  • Safety data analysis
  • Adverse event reporting
  • Product surveillance
  • Risk management activities
• Experience working in a highly regulated environment, preferably:
  • Pharmaceutical
  • Biotechnology
  • Healthcare
  • Life Sciences
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
• High level of computer literacy.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting global pharmacovigilance operations.
• Experience generating safety trend reports and regulatory documentation.
• Background in epidemiology, statistics, or clinical data analysis.
• Experience working with pharmaceutical safety databases or reporting systems.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
