Job Summary
Operating Room Pediatrics (OR PEDS) specialist located in the environmental of a healthcare provider. This role involves providing specialized perioperative care for pediatric patients undergoing procedures in a busy surgical unit. The position requires exceptional clinical skills and the ability to work efficiently within a dynamic hospital setting.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education, and Experience: BLS Certification; Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in perioperative or pediatric surgery; Valid driver's license (address outside 50 miles from the facility); Willingness to wait for license submission.
• Schedule: Rotate shifts, including 12-hour shifts with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Responsibilities: Handling a high volume of surgical cases, including tonsils, hypospadias, rectus muscle repairs, craniotomy, cardiac, and orthopedic procedures. Scrubbing is preferred but not required.
• Operational Details: Middle-of-the-night charge RN duties, mandatory standby, and rotating holiday coverage. Expected to respond within 30 minutes for standby shifts. Floating to multiple units, including 5N/1W and Children's, is required.
• Credentialing & Submission: Must include an unexpired copy of the candidate's drivers license; license submission is required; the facility can cancel up to 2 shifts per 13 weeks.
• System and Location Requirements: Charting on EPIC electronic medical record system; trauma level 1 care setting.
