Audit Director, IT & Digital

AstraZeneca seeks an Audit Director for IT & Digital to lead and oversee the internal audit plan, providing independent assurance on risk management and internal controls. The role involves managing audit engagements, developing stakeholder relationships, and translating complex technical concepts for executive audiences in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

Develop and deliver IT & Digital annual audit plan in coordination with overall Group Internal Audit strategy
Plan, execute, and oversee audit engagements ensuring value-added insights and practical recommendations
Create clear, executive-focused reports that communicate complex technical findings accessibly
Monitor timely implementation of audit recommendations and maintain stakeholder dialogue
Support team development, mentor colleagues, and drive innovation within audit activities

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree
Minimum eight years IT or IT audit experience
Big Four or large global organization internal audit background
Auditing expertise in cybersecurity, cloud, digital transformation, data governance, and emerging technologies
Strong project management and cross-functional team leadership skills
Excellent written and oral communication abilities for technical and non-technical audiences
Experience with AI, data-driven auditing, and visualization techniques
