Assistant Controller

$100,000–$125,000 Base + Discretionary Bonus We are partnering with a well-established, approximately $200M organization with 70+ operating locations and more than 2,000 employees to identify an experienced Assistant Controller for its corporate accounting team in Lake Worth, FL. This is a highly visible position for a hands‑on accounting leader who can take ownership of day‑to‑day accounting operations, keep multiple functions moving, and work directly with executive leadership. The ideal candidate is a self‑starter who requires minimal oversight and has strong, hands‑on Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience. Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience is a critical requirement for this position. Candidates should be comfortable operating independently within D365 without requiring system training. What You'll Do Oversee day‑to‑day corporate accounting operations and ensure accounting processes remain accurate and on schedule Help lead and provide accountability across the accounting function Manage general ledger and GAAP-based accounting activities Support month‑end close and financial reporting Oversee and coordinate payroll‑related accounting activities Support lease accounting Maintain strong accounting processes, controls, and procedures Coordinate with internal and outsourced accounting/bookkeeping teams Communicate with accounting and operational teams across multiple locations Partner directly with executive leadership Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and operating efficiency Help keep multiple accounting priorities, deadlines, and team members organized What We're Looking For Strong, hands‑on Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience required Ability to independently navigate and work within Dynamics 365 from day one Strong knowledge of GAAP and corporate accounting Previous accounting leadership or management experience Experience overseeing multiple areas of the accounting function Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Self‑starter who is comfortable operating with limited supervision Preferred Background Restaurant, food service, hospitality, or multi‑unit operations experience strongly preferred Candidates from distribution, construction, or other complex multi‑location organizations will also be considered Experience supporting a high‑volume, multi‑location accounting environment Experience coordinating with remote or international accounting teams is a plus Lease accounting and payroll exposure are strongly preferred Discretionary performance bonus Full benefits package 401(k) PTO Flexible office start time This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, or hands‑on Controller who wants to take ownership of a significant accounting function and work closely with senior leadership.
