Overview Medical Assistant Certified - USFTGP Phys Svcs Specialty Clinic - (250004I0) Under general supervision of the department manager, medical staff, nursing staff, and Sr Medical Assistant/Lead Medical Assistant, the Certified Medical Assistant follows policies, procedures, and professional guidelines. The Certified Medical Assistant provides clinical and clerical support such as patient rooming in addition to assistance with medical procedures, cleaning of equipment, chart preparation, obtaining referral notes, images and lab results prior to patient visits. Responsibilities Provide clinical and clerical support, including patient rooming and assistance with medical procedures. Assist with cleaning of equipment and maintaining a clean clinical environment. Prepare charts and obtain referral notes, images, and lab results prior to patient visits. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED - Required Clinical Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant MA-ARMA Basic Life Support Experience Minimum of 3 months of experience in a healthcare setting Technical Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Demonstrates a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and basic clinical procedures. Skilled in drawing blood for laboratory testing and ensuring proper specimen handling. Competent in using electronic health record systems for accurate documentation and retrieval of patient information. Proficient in performing clinical tasks, including patient rooming, and ensuring proper cleaning and maintenance of medical equipment. Demonstrates the ability to prepare for and assist with medical procedures. Performs clerical duties essential to the operations of the practice, including answering phones professionally, greeting patients, filing, faxing, and scanning documents. Demonstrates all of the Medical Assistant Knowledge, Skills, and Actions (KSA's).
