Description

This position is responsible for using appropriate tools to sand furniture.

Essential Duties

• Will be required to read production tickets on the pieces of furniture being sanded
• Manually sands wood furniture and frames using various jigs and tools developed for sanding
• Repairs minor defects in the wood using appropriate tools and materials
• Must follow all safety policies and procedures
• Works as part of a team to meet or exceed production goals

Qualifications

Position Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous sanding experience a plus

• Prolonged periods of standing and performing repetitive tasks
• While standing, position will require bending, squatting, kneeling and twisting
• Must be able to work in noisy environments
• Must be able to work in dusty environments
• Must have manual dexterity in order to operate tools as directed
• Frequently lifting/carrying objects up to 25 lbs.; occasionally lifting/carrying objects up to 50 lbs.
