- # Pharmacy Technician 1 (Temporary)Apply: Seattle, WA: Part time: Posted Today: End Date: October 21, 2026 (7 days left to apply): REQ-0000138071**Job Description****The Rubenstein Memorial Health Center Pharmacy on the UW Seattle Campus is looking for an outstanding temp Pharmacy Technician 1 to join our Pharmacy Team!**The University of Washington School of Pharmacy is ranked nationally in the top schools of Pharmacy. At the School of Pharmacy, we are committed to educating the next generation of leaders in pharmacy, pharmaceutical research and health care – while seeking to ensure the safe, rational and cost-effective use of medicines.**Key Responsibilities:****95% - Pharmacy Technician Duties*** Perform order entry of prescriptions into the ambulatory pharmacy computer system.* Fill prescriptions.* Triage incoming phone calls to the pharmacy department.* Assist with online processing of prescription orders.* Assist patients with new prescriptions and prescription refills.* Determine appropriate payment methods for prescription transactions.* Interact with professional and technical staff, as well as customers, in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner.* Perform charging and billing functions.* Assist in the training of pharmacy assistants, pharmacy technicians, students, and interns.* Direct clinical inquiries requiring a pharmacist's professional judgment to the appropriate pharmacist.* Receive medications delivered to the pharmacy and stock inventory appropriately.**5% - Other Responsibilities*** Perform other duties as assigned.**Required Qualifications**To be considered for this opportunity your application must demonstrate you meet both the minimum qualifications and additional qualifications listed below.
