Serve as Subject Matter Expert on Work Permitting Process (Permit Vision). Identify and implement CPO process improvements. Support the technical training of other team members (4P qualified). Relationships Reports to Manager. Essential Functions Monitor Permit Vision for work requests and process through the permit life cycle including review, approve, and issue permits, review, approve, and execute ICCs (LOTO), and review, approve Flush & Drain Plans Work independently with minimal supervision Author ICCs and Flush/Drain Plans Provide lead direction and support to junior team members Recognize the conditions of work that require Lockout/Tagout Assess all hazardous energy sources including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, chemical, thermal, and other sources in machines, equipment, and systems that may be hazardous to employees and stakeholders onsite Use documented procedures and approved isolation devices to implement Lockout/Tagout Support adherence to key elements of OSHA regulations known onsite as the Ten Life Safety Rules Support adherence to all Quality, Environmental, and EHS regulations within area of responsibility Engage in continuous process improvement using cLEAN concepts Establish and maintain standards and operational procedures for the Central Permit Office Work daily with computer programs to perform tasks (Microsoft Office Suite, CMMS (SAP), Permit Vision, Robex, etc.) Follow all safety and environmental requirements in the performance of duties Perform other duties as assigned Physical Requirements Move equipment or supplies weighing up to 33 pounds using various body positions Operate and inspect manufacturing equipment using hands Strap and unstrap pallets using hands Be on feet for up to a 12‑hour shift May require corrected vision to 20/20 or 20/25, may require color vision Occasionally ascend or descend a ladder, work at elevated heights, work in confined spaces, or operate in hazardous materials environments Work in loud noise environments with hearing protection May need to secure a motorized vehicle license and operate a motorized vehicle if required Qualifications HS Diploma or GED required Associate's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Technology, or relevant field, with at least three (3) years of relevant experience in engineering technology, maintenance, manufacturing or utilities preferred Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in engineering technology, maintenance, manufacturing or utilities required Knowledge and experience in the operations and/or maintenance of utilities and/or manufacturing equipment required Experience working in a regulated environment (FDA, cGMP, OSHA) required Ability to use appropriate PPE, including PAPR, required Willingness to join and actively participate in the Emergency Response Team (ERT) preferred Ability to read, review, and understand P&ID, PFD, electrical schematics required Strong communication skills across multiple organizational levels required Understanding of Safe Work Practices required Experience identifying and isolating hazards (LOTO) required Willingness to join and actively participate as Health & Safety Representative (HSR) preferred We commit to an inclusive recruitment process and equality of opportunity for all our job applicants.
