Tax Associate

Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Tax Associate to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting salary $30 to $35 per hour.
. Job Responsibilities:- Prepare workpapers and file returns for sales and use tax, real estate and business property tax, and other non-income tax filings.
- Conduct and prepare return-to-provision reconciliations. Coordinate with external advisors and auditors
- Continuously improve processes by developing and streamlining procedures and workpapers.
- Stay informed on legislative developments by reviewing new or revised tax laws, participating in educational opportunities, and reading professional publications.
- Support quarterly and annual financial reporting related to income tax disclosures.
- Maintain paperless documentation and records for easy remote access.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or accounting.
- At least one year of experience in accounting or tax-related roles; experience in preparing federal and state income tax returns is advantageous.
- Familiarity with tax compliance software is beneficial.
- Proficient in MS Excel..
- Strong analytical abilities with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized with effective time management skills
