Shift: Monday-Friday, 5:00 PM - 1:30 AM
Weekend Rotation: Every fourth weekend
Holiday Rotation: Required

Position Summary


Columbus Community Hospital is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Environmental Services Housekeeper to join our team in preparation for the opening of our new Cancer Center this fall. This position plays an essential role in providing a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.


We are hiring now to allow for comprehensive training on cleaning protocols and procedures prior to the center's opening, ensuring a smooth transition and readiness when the facility begins serving patients.

Essential Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect patient care areas, offices, exam rooms, and common spaces.
• Maintain cleanliness of floors, walls, windows, restrooms, and furnishings.
• Clean and sanitize medical equipment and high-touch surfaces according to established procedures.
• Collect and dispose of waste and recyclable materials appropriately.
• Follow infection prevention, safety, and environmental services standards.
• Maintain supplies and equipment needed to perform assigned duties.
• Report maintenance or safety concerns to appropriate personnel.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous housekeeping or environmental services experience is preferred, but not required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping, and reaching.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry materials as needed.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
