Selects equipment and plans layout and assembly of welding. Works closely and interacts with supervision. Works with precise limits and standards of accuracy.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS + EXPERIENCE

Prior related experience and/or training in a fabrication environment must be able to pass the following weld tests. Carbon Steel Plate Test SMAW E6010 (5P) 3G, Downhill

SMAW E7018 – 2G, 3G, 4G

Qualifications Must obtain and maintain an active status within the drug testing program and pass background screening. Must possess or be able to pass the Basic Safety Council Class Courses Must complete the Matrix Service Basic Safety training and site-specific training. Must possess a valid TWIC card. Site may require fire retardant clothing. Maintain clean shaven and/or free of facial hair so that a respirator/face mask can seal properly. (Site Specific) Must be willing to frequently travel/relocate. Must be willing to work frequent overtime. Physical Requirements Must have the ability to read, write and communicate effectively. Must be able and willing to work at elevated heights from Ladders, scaffolding, aerial lifts, work platforms, etc. Work will include pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying objects weighing up to 60 pounds, such as raw or fabricated material, equipment or tools.Heavyliftingwilloftenberequiredtoperformtasks. Mustbeabletokneel,squat,andclimb. Work will include frequent bending, kneeling, crouching and stooping and occasional climbing onto equipment and/or trailers. Work involves standing and/or walking for extended periods of time, up to a minimum of 8-10 hours per day Must be able to perform required duties for extended periods of time. Must be able to perform tasks in hot and cold temperatures. The essential job functions and duties outlined in this position are considered safety sensitive
