Join an Employee Resource Group, participate in an international lunch, or celebrate your heritage to find your place of belonging.Find Your Future – Whether you are interested in the opportunity to work seasonally or looking to launch your career, GEODIS is the place!*Eligibility varies based on location, job, employee type, or length of service.What you will be doing:Assists with the planning of the layout of stockroom, warehouse, and other storage areas, considering turnover, size, weight, and related factors of items storedReviews records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures, and to determine adequacy of stock levelsTrains, directs and assigns workload to a team of employees for one or more accounts in the warehouseTraces the history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepanciesDetermines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.Sets cycle counts of inventory, researches, and clears any discrepanciesReviews daily reports and ensures completion of key tasks designed to keep an accurate inventoryPrepares composite reports from individual reports of Inventory SpecialistsAssists in performing physical inventories and proper stock rotationPerforms audits and cycle counts according to ISO 9001 proceduresInforms supervisor of any unsafe or hazardous working conditionsFor food accounts, the incumbent is responsible to report food safety problems to senior management to initiate actionOther duties as required and assignedRequirements:High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalencyMinimum 2 years of experience in warehouse, yard, or stockroom inventory roleExperience with Warehouse Management Systems preferredExperience with forklift operationExperience with Microsoft Office, including ExcelAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualAbility to write routine reports and correspondenceAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram formThe following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
