Women’s Health and Genetics team has an exciting career opportunity for a Customer Service Support Representative. Representative II

Work schedule: Monday-Friday 10:30-07:00 PM EST

Responsibilities

• Answer high volume of inbound calls from patients, doctor's office and/or private insurance carriers.

• Make outbound calls as requested to resolve open Patient AR and to resolve customer inquiries

• Initiate payment plans for patients for outstanding balances.

• Routinely utilize multiple resources to resolve patient inquiries while on the phone

• Maintain performance goals

• Ability to become proficient with processes after completing a structured training program.

Minimum Requirements

• Associates degree with 1 or more years of relevant experience, or high school diploma or equivalent with 3 or more years relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year or more call center experience or healthcare-related customer service

• 1 year or more medical billing, insurance claims, and explanation of benefits (EOB)

• 1 year or more patient billing

• 1 year or more Experience in genetics, women’s health, and oncology specialty testing billing, including supporting patients through clinically complex and financially sensitive testing processes

• 1 year or more Experience supporting payer and laboratory billing processes for genetic and molecular testing reimbursement

• 1 year or more Medicare and Medicaid payers

• Establish protocols and procedures; cross-functional collaboration

• Bilingual English/Spanish capability

Pay Range: $18.00 - $21.00 an hour

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.

Representative II serves as a frontline contact for patients, provider offices, and insurance carriers by handling inbound and outbound calls related to patient accounts and billing inquiries. This role is responsible for resolving open patient accounts receivable, addressing customer questions, and assisting patients with payment options, including the initiation of payment plans for outstanding balances. The position requires routine use of multiple systems and resources to efficiently research and resolve issues in real time while maintaining established performance and quality standards. The representative is expected to develop proficiency in role responsibilities through successful completion of a structured training program and ongoing application of learned processes within a fast paced customer service environment.
