About the Role
The Company is in search of a Deputy Chief Technology Officer (DCTO) for Infrastructure to take on a pivotal role in the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for the cloud architecture, security compliance, corporate network, and IT foundation that support the company's federal technology portfolio. This includes mission-critical programs such as VA disability claims modernization, aviation readiness analytics, and federal fintech platforms. The DCTO will lead the design, governance, and continuous improvement of the cloud architecture, ensuring it meets the highest standards of scalability, resilience, and cost efficiency. They will also own the security compliance posture, manage risk, and lead the corporate network and IT operations. Executive stakeholder engagement, governance, and standards, as well as program and people leadership, are key aspects of the role. Applicants for the DCTO position at the company should have a minimum of 12 years' experience in IT infrastructure, cloud architecture, or security engineering, with at least 5 years in federal or highly regulated environments. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required, with an advanced degree preferred. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in designing and delivering cloud-native infrastructure, a deep understanding of enterprise network architecture, and strong leadership skills in cross-functional teams. Preferred qualifications include active certifications in relevant areas and experience with federal security compliance and accreditation. The role demands exceptional communication, documentation, and executive engagement skills, as well as the ability to manage security compliance across multiple programs and ATO packages.
