Director, Lab Operations Onsite | Monday-Friday DeLand, FL Full-Time / Permanent Salary: $140,000 - $170,000 + Bonus Position Summary Seeking an experienced laboratory operations leader to oversee high-volume clinical laboratory operations with a strong focus on microbiology, regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and people leadership. This role will lead large teams, drive operational performance, support technical transitions and program implementations, and develop future leadership talent within a fast-paced laboratory environment. Key Responsibilities Lead day-to-day operations of a high-volume clinical laboratory environment Oversee laboratory operations in compliance with: CAP standards Federal regulations State clinical laboratory regulations Manage and develop large operational and technical teams Build leadership bench strength through mentoring, coaching, and succession planning Establish performance expectations and drive accountability across teams Foster a culture of collaboration, engagement, inclusion, and continuous improvement Support technical/platform transitions and operational change initiatives Partner cross-functionally to improve workflow efficiency and laboratory performance Oversee implementation of new laboratory programs, technologies, or products Ensure operational readiness, staffing alignment, and service quality standards are maintained Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in: Medical Technology Clinical Laboratory Science Related scientific discipline Medical Technologist certification required: ASCP AMT AAB or equivalent Florida Supervisor License in Microbiology or Generalist required Candidates relocating to Florida must be eligible to obtain licensure 10+ years of recent microbiology experience Proven experience leading large teams in high-volume laboratory environments Strong knowledge of: Clinical laboratory operations Regulatory compliance Quality and accreditation standards Laboratory workflow management Preferred Qualifications Experience leading technical or platform transitions across multiple laboratory sites Experience implementing new laboratory programs or products Strong background in operational leadership and talent development Demonstrated ability to improve team capability, morale, and engagement Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate is a collaborative and operationally focused laboratory leader who: Excels in people leadership Drives accountability through influence and communication Builds strong, high-performing teams Balances technical expertise with operational execution Has deep microbiology leadership experience within regulated clinical laboratory settings Additional Information Onsite role based in DeLand, Florida Relocation assistance available nationwide Bonus eligible position Trinity Technology Solutions
