Ideally, this is someone who is interested in growing with our family long-term and becoming a trusted, consistent presence in our home.Key ResponsibilitiesHousehold Management & OrganizationMaintain household organization systems (closets, storage, pantry, toys)Reset and tidy rooms daily; maintain overall neatness, ensure home is prepped for cleaning servicesOversee household schedules and calendarsConduct seasonal swaps (clothing, décor, bedding, etc.)Prepare and coordinate donation drop offs and pick upsSupport unpacking for travel or seasonal transitionsSupervise or coordinate with service providers/vendors (e.g., handymen, cleaners, landscapers)Load/unload dishwasher, wipe surfaces, vacuum high traffic areasMaintain indoor plants weekly/biweekly.Weekly cleaning of bathrooms, including the master and children's bathVacuuming and mopping high-traffic areas 1-2 times weeklyInventory Management & ErrandsTrack and restock pantry, fridge, toiletries, household suppliesCreate and manage running household supply listsCoordinate and manage household orders (Instacart, Amazon, Costco, Target, etc.)Run errands: grocery shopping, returns, dry cleaning, gift shoppingManage returns and packages, and keep an organized system for incoming deliveries.Manage putting this away timely and neatly (dry cleaning, supplies, groceries, etc.)Meal Planning & PreparationPlan and prepare healthy, protein-forward meals and snacks for the family (dinners 3–4 nights/week).Shop for groceries and meal-related items as needed. Update Instacart lists and place orders.Clean the kitchen after prep, maintain overall tidiness, and mop as neededLaundry & Linen CarePut away laundry service returns folded.Handle 3-4 home loads per week (e.g., towels, delicates, bedding).Organize and maintain kids' closets, involving children in the process as neededIron, steam, and prepare outfits as neededManage linens: rotate bedding, refresh towels, restock essentialsKeep laundry areas tidy and well-stocked with suppliesPet CareFeed beta fish 1x per week and clean bowlVehicle ManagementSchedule and oversee maintenance, oil changes, and inspectionsEnsure vehicles are fueled, cleaned, and organizedTrack registration, insurance, and service schedulesVendor & Property OversightSchedule and supervise service providers (cleaners, contractors, landscapers)Research and coordinate repairs, maintenance, and quotesManage routine upkeep, including remote coordination for the North Carolina home; serve as the point person for the property management teamOversee outdoor spaces and seasonal maintenance needs, including sweeping the patio.Oversee property-specific systems (e.g., HVAC, pool maintenance)Serve as primary contact for vendors or guestsFamily Support & Child AssistanceAssist with school/activity pick-ups or drop-offs (rarely)Light supervision or back-up childcareInvolve kids in household tasks when appropriate to encourage responsibilityHelp with child-related laundry or errandsDeep Cleaning & Special ProjectsTackle occasional deep cleans (fridge, freezer, oven, etc.)Maintain and refresh specific zones (entryways, garage, laundry room)Clean humidifiers, washing machines, and air purifiers monthly.
