Specialty Representative/Sr Specialty Representative - Primary Care - Merced, CA

Amgen seeks a Specialty Representative or Senior Specialty Representative for the Merced/Madera, California territory. The role involves delivering clinical product knowledge to medical professionals, driving sales through in-person and virtual engagement, managing customer relationships, and supporting patient access to Amgen's medicines across oncology, inflammation, general medicine, and rare disease.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive clinical knowledge of Amgen products and communicate benefits to medical professionals to drive appropriate product utilization
• Achieve territory sales targets through branded messaging, educational programs, and in-person and virtual engagement with physicians
• Develop and manage customer relationships, customize discussions based on customer needs, and resolve reimbursement and product access issues
• Analyze business effectiveness of sales activities, provide marketing strategy feedback, and develop territory plans with District Manager
• Share best practices with colleagues and demonstrate passion for products while advancing patient care

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, or Associate's degree with 4 years sales experience, or high school diploma with 6 years sales experience
• For Senior level: Bachelor's degree with 3 years sales/clinical healthcare experience, or Associate's with 6 years, or high school diploma with 8 years
• Sales experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, diagnostics, or healthcare industries preferred
• Product or hospital sales experience in specialty areas such as oncology, cardiology, inflammation, nephrology, or dermatology preferred
• Advanced relationship-building and influencing skills with focus on sales outcomes
• Knowledge of core competencies: sales planning, business/technical knowledge, impact communication, results orientation, and relationship cultivation

Compensation: $89,880–$121,602 base annual
