The Opportunity

At AFS, Cyber Analysts support federal agencies by strengthening cybersecurity posture, evaluating risks, and helping implement secure, compliant, mission-aligned solutions. In this role, analysts apply structured problem-solving, foundational cyber principles, and modern security tools to protect sensitive information and support agency operations. Cyber is the intersection of emerging technology and security – continuous and current research and curiosity about evolving technology and respective vulnerabilities is essential to success in this field.

What You'll Do

• Support cybersecurity assessments aligned to federal frameworks such as NIST 800-series, FISMA, and OMB guidance
• Conduct vulnerability scanning, analysis, and POA&M updates using industry tools and AI-enabled GRC platforms Assist in drafting and maintaining cybersecurity documentation (SSPs, SOPs, policies, baselines)
• Analyze threats, risks, and system weaknesses to inform remediation activities
• Participate in stakeholder engagement, communications, and change-management efforts supporting cyber initiatives

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in STEM or adjacent field, such as Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering (Systems, Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical), with graduation by August 31, 2027.
• Strong academic track record (3.2+ cumulative GPA) from a 4-year accredited institution.

• U.S. citizenship required (due to federal contract requirements)
• Ability to travel 25-50% preferred, but requirements vary by team and location.

Preferred Qualifications

• Foundational understanding of cybersecurity concepts (e.g., threats and security frameworks); strong networking fundamentals and deep understanding of how operating systems work
• Technical aptitude with interest in learning cyber tools, security automation, and emerging technologies
• Clear communicator who can translate technical details into business-friendly language
• Familiarity with using AI tools to research and solve business and technology challenges

Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. $61,700 - $109,400 USD
