Department Manager, Women's - Costa Mesa, CA - South Coast Plaza

Job Responsibilities Department Manager, Womens will be responsible for leading and mentoring their team, building client relationships, and proactively driving the achievement of sales targets while ensuring our clients experience the Fendi Client Journey. They will serve as an ambassador of the Brand in the community and in the marketplace. Team Management and Development Ensure Client Advisors deliver the Fendi Client Journey to every individual, supporting them with consistent mentoring, identifying development and training needs, and partnering with the Training Manager to create action plans. Set individual and team goals, and sales targets; proactively assess and manage performance against expectations. Identify, recruit talent and secure succession plans in collaboration with the Store Manager. Implement Development Plans for high‑potential talent. Lead and empower the team to drive business, build a positive and harmonious work environment, and champion collaboration. Client And Business Development Drive sales within the category and across the store. Support the team in building long‑term client relationships using all clienteling tools. Establish a client‑centric mindset in the store to ensure the highest level of client experience. Communicate and encourage the team on corporate strategy and relevant business information (e.g., morning briefings, training). Develop the business of your department by encouraging a comprehensive, strategic understanding and linking to all relevant partners. Develop and implement action plans to boost business and improve product performance through visual merchandising, clienteling, training, and team management. Stay aware of competition. Selling & Floor Management Act as a role model demonstrating sales and clienteling leadership, supporting the team with their own sales, encouraging cross‑selling and client retention. Build and develop your own client portfolio. Improve business opportunities through efficient sales floor management and client hosting. Provide consistent, qualitative feedback and mentorship to the team. Operations Communicate and implement policies, standards, and Fendi procedures. Account for inventory management of respective product categories. Support the Store Manager in staff planning to match traffic patterns and improve sales and client experience. Visual Merchandising Ensure every VM move is driven by a business strategy and follows the launch pad area. Participate in floor rotations with the VM team. Maintain visual standards throughout the day. Qualifications Minimum 5 years’ related experience, luxury retail preferred. Strong drive for results; goal oriented. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to use POS system and its inventory management functions. RTW experience preferred. Foreign language skills are a plus. Ability to work in a collaborative team environment. Ability to lift boxes or weights up to 10 lbs. Organizational skills and strong digital literacy. Must have flexible availability, including some nights, weekends, and holidays. Compensation and Benefits The base compensation for this role is $115,000 annually plus commission.
