Duties & Responsibilities Input insurance information for patient admission. Follow up on all patient accounts/claims in a timely manner. Produce bills for all third‑party insurance and patient accounts. Bills Medicare, Medicare Advantage, BCBS and commercial carriers, providing necessary documentation for the claims to be processed. Input billing data utilizing the hospital’s computer system. Discuss insurance coverage with patients, doctors and third‑party carriers. Bills electronically via Waystar Revenue Cycle Management and Medicare DDE System. Set up patient payment plans. Perform other duties as assigned/required by this position. Qualifications High school education or equivalent required. One to three years of accounting office experience in a hospital or health‑care setting required. Basic computer skills required. Working knowledge of third‑party insurance, billing and follow‑up procedures, admitting, insurance verification and collections required.
