Area Sales Manager (NYC)
Outset Medical
Outset Medical seeks an Area Sales Manager for New York City to grow revenue by expanding existing customer relationships and acquiring new accounts within their dialysis technology territory. The role involves territory strategy, customer development, and consultative sales to healthcare systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute territory growth strategy with account prioritization based on market potential
- Expand existing customer value through additional care settings, service lines, and clinical applications
- Identify and engage priority health systems; lead discovery conversations to understand needs
- Build business cases demonstrating clinical, operational, and financial value propositions
- Guide opportunities from discovery through contracting while managing competitive dynamics
Requirements
- Proven territory management and business development experience
- Ability to navigate complex healthcare purchasing decisions and multiple stakeholders
- Strong consultative selling and relationship-building skills
- Experience developing business cases demonstrating clinical and financial value
- Ability to communicate effectively with clinical, operational, financial, and executive audiences
