Senior Security Officer - FOP MC Security

Job Summary This position is responsible for the security of an outpatient location and serves as an active field training officer during any assigned shift. The Senior Security Officer supports a secure environment for staff, physicians, patients, and visitors, and operates independently across multiple departments. Responsibilities include managing patient property, conducting investigations, and providing ongoing training and supervision to newly hired security officers. Responsibilities Ensure the security of the facility by patrolling buildings and grounds, staffing fixed security posts, and monitoring entrances and exits. Monitor cameras, security, and alarm systems for any abnormal activity. Respond to emergencies and maintain required training related to the secured property. Lead after‑action incident debriefings with clinical staff and coordinate emotional support resources for affected employees. Oversee patient property and valuables, investigate losses or thefts, and handle employee accident follow‑up within the security department. Produce complete, accurate reports with recommendations following investigations. Provide regular field training to newly hired officers, facilitate monthly meetings during their probationary period, and submit feedback to the manager. Report public safety and security concerns and perform any additional functions required by the security department. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Certification or vocational training may be required. Associate degree in a relevant field preferred. Two years of relevant experience required; four to six years preferred. Valid Ohio Driver’s License. Completion of a 12‑month probationary period from the date of employment. Successful completion of a psychological evaluation. Additional Requirements Final candidates must complete a background check. A drug screen or physical examination may be required during the post‑offer process.
