Responsibilities Operating wastewater treatment plant equipment, Conducting operational rounds and checklists, Conducting testing and sampling activities to ensure wastewater is properly treated, Issuing work notifications, Identify and report operational and equipment issues, Issue work permits, Managing energy-control of equipment as needed. Qualifications Candidate must possess a current, valid Class 1, 2, 3, or 4 Virginia state Wastewater Operators license, or a current, valid license from another state with equivalent waste treatment experience. Must be willing and able to convert licenses from another state to a Virginia license at first available opportunity. Must be willing and able to work rotating shifts, as well as overtime as needed. Must be able to perform physical aspects of the role including walking, standing, climbing, etc. Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position. These include labor markets, work experience, and qualifications. The expected pay range for this Virginia position is between $28.11/hour to $40.48/hour. #J-18808-Ljbffr
