Maintenance Technician

Rockford Center is searching for an experienced Maintenance Technician for a full time day shift position with rotating weekends and holidays. Rockford Center is a 138-bed mental health facility located in Newark, DE, providing easy access to a full complement of inpatient and partial behavioral health programs for children and adolescents, adults, and older adults. In this rewarding role, you will ensure the maintenance of a clean, healthy, and pleasant environment for patients, staff, and visitors, including specialized floor care and maintenance.

Responsibilities include:

• Repair and maintain HVAC equipment.
• General repair, painting, and maintenance of building.
• Maintain grounds to include ice and snow removal and maintenance of parking lot.
• Carry out routine plumbing and electrical maintenance and repair.
• Prepare facility for special functions, including setting up tables, chairs and equipment.
• Respond in a timely manner to alarms and codes in accordance with safety and security policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma/GED.
• Previous maintenance experience in a hospital setting preferred and industry certifications.
• Experience: Two (2) years of related experience, with knowledge of facility maintenance, HVAC and plumbing.
