Level II FPI – NAS-410 Castings – Winstead, CT – Contract assignment 3‑6 months. Competitive hourly pay, per diem, rental car and flights. Company: Applied Technical Services (ATS). Summary The position is located in Winstead, CT and is focused on validating FPI on castings in accordance with the NAS‑410 standard. Work is performed on a contract basis with competitive pay and travel reimbursements. Responsibilities Perform examinations of materials in accordance with procedures, codes, standards, and specifications. Be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the methods for which qualified. Exercise assigned responsibility for OJT and guidance of trainees. Interface with department managers and clients to determine scope of work and work priorities in order to meet customer expectations. Prepare written instructions and organize and report the results of examinations. Work independently and support team members; perform other job‑related tasks as needed and assigned by supervisors. Qualifications Level II FPI certification – meet the minimum requirements of an NDT Level II PT per NAS‑410. Provide documentation of education, training and experience in the applicable NDT method(s). Castings inspection experience with FPI. High School Diploma, GED or equivalent. Additional NDT certifications are a plus but not required. Ability to learn and comply with all company policies and procedures. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Work Conditions Must wear safety equipment as required for personal protection. Work from heights on scaffolding, ladders, elevated platforms, man‑baskets, etc. Work in confined spaces requiring crawling, stooping, climbing, etc. Work around operating equipment in industrial environments. Work with radiation and hazardous materials such as cleaners, penetrants, film‑developing chemicals, etc. Shifts up to 12 hours/day, 7 days/week. Ability to lift and carry 100 pounds.
