Our client is a fast-growing digital education company producing live and on-demand educational content. As the organization expands its evergreen content library and prepares for international localization initiatives, they are seeking a Video Editor to support high-volume content production using both traditional editing tools and emerging AI-powered video technologies.

Role Overview

As a Video Editor, you will be responsible for transforming live educational recordings into polished, on-demand evergreen content while supporting an upcoming international localization project.

You will work alongside an existing team of video editors to refine long-form recordings, remove live-event elements and off-topic content, create short-form assets, and manage video deliverables across multiple platforms. This role requires strong editorial judgment, technical editing skills, organization, and the ability to consistently meet strict turnaround requirements.

The ideal candidate is an intuitive and efficient editor who can independently identify necessary edits, maintain educational flow, and quickly adapt to AI-assisted workflows and emerging video technologies.

Fully Remote (Work from Home) | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST, with some flexibility

Key Responsibilities

Live-to-Evergreen Production

• Transform live program recordings into seamless, polished, on-demand educational videos.
• Remove the live-event feel while maintaining a natural and engaging educational experience.
• Incorporate intro videos and other required elements into final deliverables.
• Ensure strong pacing, continuity, and overall production quality.
• Deliver finalized evergreen videos within a strict 24-hour turnaround following live events.

Editorial Judgment & Content Curation

• Independently review recordings and identify off-topic conversations or unnecessary content that should be removed.
• Make thoughtful editorial cuts without disrupting the educational flow or context of the material.
• Apply established brand guidelines to ensure final content is focused, appropriate, and aligned with company standards.
• Prepare polished videos for QA while minimizing unnecessary revisions.

Localization & AI Dubbing

• Edit raw footage for a large-scale international localization project.
• Learn and utilize AI-powered dubbing and lip-syncing platforms such as HeyGen.
• Integrate translated audio with video content while maintaining a natural viewing experience.
• Support scalable localization workflows as content expands to international audiences.

Social Media & AI Workflows

• Use Opus to efficiently generate short-form video clips for social media channels.
• Identify appropriate moments from longer recordings that can be repurposed into standalone content.
• Leverage Rev.com for transcription and captioning needs.
• Adapt to AI-assisted editing workflows that improve production efficiency and content output.

Video Asset & Platform Management

• Organize and manage large volumes of raw and edited video assets securely within Google Drive.
• Maintain organized file structures that make content easy for the broader editing team to locate and use.
• Upload, format, and manage finalized evergreen deliverables on Vimeo.
• Maintain accurate versions and files throughout the editing and review process.

Team Collaboration & Workflow Management

• Collaborate with the existing video editing team to share assets and streamline production workflows.
• Manage assigned editing projects independently while remaining aligned with team priorities.
• Communicate progress, deadlines, and potential production issues clearly.
• Support efficient workflows that allow the team to scale content production while maintaining quality.

Qualifications

Experience

• 1–3 years of professional video editing experience.
• Experience editing educational content, courses, or long-form live recordings into polished final products.

Skills

• Demonstrates proficiency with video editing software, particularly Movavi, or experience with comparable professional editing platforms.
• Has strong editorial judgment and can independently identify off-topic, unnecessary, or off-brand content while preserving the natural flow of educational material.
• Can efficiently transform long-form live recordings into polished evergreen videos while maintaining pacing, continuity, and production quality.
• Is comfortable managing large media libraries and organizing raw and edited video assets within Google Drive.
• Has familiarity with video hosting, transcription, and captioning platforms such as Vimeo and Rev.com.
• Can use AI-assisted clipping tools such as Opus, or similar platforms, to efficiently create short-form social media content.
• Knowledgeable in DeepL and Core Video Editor is a plus.
• Is willing and able to quickly learn AI dubbing and lip-syncing platforms such as HeyGen to support international localization projects.
• Demonstrates strong time-management skills and can consistently meet strict 24-hour turnaround requirements.
• Has strong organizational skills and can manage large volumes of content, files, and deliverables without sacrificing accuracy or quality.
• Can collaborate effectively with other editors while independently owning assigned projects and editorial decisions.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience using HeyGen or similar AI-powered video translation, dubbing, or lip-syncing tools is preferred.
• Familiarity with online education, wellness, or mental health content is considered a plus.
• Experience with tools and platforms comparable to Movavi, Opus, HeyGen, Vimeo, and Rev.com will also be considered.
