Staff Data Engineer

Position Summary Staff Data Engineer: Samsung Ads is a leading innovator in advertising technology, dedicated to providing cutting‑edge solutions that optimize ad performance and deliver exceptional results for our clients. We seek a talented Staff Data Engineer to play a pivotal role in enhancing our platform’s performance advertising capabilities. As an integral part of our engineering team, you will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design, implement, and optimize attribution models, ensuring accurate measurement of marketing campaign effectiveness. Responsibilities Develop and implement advanced data solutions supporting billing, reporting and other systems within the team’s scope. Collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and other engineers to refine and improve data processes. Design and maintain scalable and optimized data pipelines for efficient collection, processing, and storage of data. Work closely with stakeholders to understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions. Conduct A/B testing and performance analysis to validate and iterate on data processes. Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies related to data engineering and ad tech. Qualifications Bachelor’s or master’s in computer science, Data Science, or a related field. Requires at least 8 years of related experience and a bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years of experience. Proven experience in delivering data engineering solutions in the ad tech industry. Strong programming skills in Python, Java, and Scala. Experience working with Kubernetes and stream data processing frameworks such as Flink and Apache Ignite. Proficient with big data technologies and databases (Hadoop, Spark, SQL, MapReduce). Hands‑on experience with orchestration tools like Airflow or a similar tool. Solid understanding of statistical concepts and relevant tools. Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with RESTful API and Golang. Familiarity with real‑time data processing and streaming technologies. Knowledge of end‑to‑end digital advertising ecosystems and industry standards. Knowledge of Snowflake and related technologies. Compensation & Benefits For candidates based in Mountain View, CA, the expected total compensation is between $190,000 and $215,000. Pay is determined based on relevant skills, experience and comparable employees.
