Transplant Nephrologist Opportunity at Ascension Saint Thomas West Hospital

Ascension Saint Thomas Kidney Transplant Center is seeking to hire a transplant nephrologist to our team at Ascension Saint Thomas West Hospital. Join an established team of four physicians and two advanced practice providers. Call structure is every fourth week. Practice setting is hospital inpatient/outpatient. Access to support staff including RN coordinators, social workers, pharmacists, and nutritionists. Employed position within a nonprofit health system. Eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration.

Board certified or board eligible in internal medicine with sub-specialty certified in nephrology and completion of an American Society of Transplantation (AST) transplant nephrology fellowship training accreditation program (TNFTAP) or Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) accredited transplant nephrology fellowship. Required years of experience in transplant nephrology; five years minimum. Previous medical directorship or leadership experience preferred. Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute inpatient and outpatient populations utilizing advanced diagnostic acumen and evidence-based medicine. Serve as the admitting, attending, and/or consulting physician for patients requiring hospitalization, ensuring seamless transitions from admission to discharge.
