Position Summary

We are seeking an energetic, hospitality-driven Front of House Manager to oversee daily dining room operations in a high-volume, waterfront casual dining restaurant. This leader will be responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience, developing and coaching service teams, maintaining operational standards, and ensuring smooth coordination between front and back of house operations.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads by example, and is passionate about creating memorable guest experiences while driving sales and team performance.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience

• Ensure every guest receives outstanding hospitality and service.
• Address guest concerns promptly and professionally.
• Maintain a visible presence in the dining room during service periods.
• Build a culture focused on exceeding guest expectations.

Team Leadership

• Recruit, hire, train, and develop front of house team members.
• Conduct ongoing coaching and performance evaluations.
• Create schedules that support business needs while controlling labor costs.
• Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment.

Operations Management

• Oversee daily dining room, bar, host stand, and guest service operations.
• Ensure compliance with all company standards, health regulations, and safety procedures.
• Coordinate effectively with kitchen leadership to ensure efficient service execution.
• Monitor cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of guest-facing areas.

Financial Accountability

• Assist in managing labor budgets and operational expenses.
• Support sales growth initiatives and special event execution.
• Monitor service efficiency and identify opportunities to improve profitability.
• Maintain accurate cash handling and end-of-day procedures.

Training & Development

• Lead onboarding and training programs for new team members.
• Develop future supervisors and shift leaders.
• Reinforce service standards and operational expectations through continuous coaching.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of restaurant management or supervisory experience.
• Experience in high-volume casual dining, seafood, or hospitality environments preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to motivate, coach, and develop teams.
• Knowledge of scheduling, labor management, and guest service standards.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak seasonal periods.
• ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain certification preferred.
