Role Description This full-time Insurance Agent role is a hybrid position based in Richmond, VA, with a mix of in-office and work-from-home flexibility. The Insurance Agent will identify client needs, recommend appropriate insurance products, and provide ongoing policy support and account management. Day-to-day responsibilities include prospecting and qualifying leads, conducting consultations, preparing quotes, and assisting clients with applications, policy changes, renewals, and claims-related questions. The role involves maintaining accurate records in agency systems, adhering to regulatory requirements, and participating in team meetings and training. The Insurance Agent will be expected to meet performance goals while delivering a professional, customer-focused experience. Qualifications Strong customer service and relationship-building skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in person, by phone, and in writing. Sales and consultative skills, including prospecting, needs assessment, presenting solutions, and closing new business. Organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple client accounts, follow up on leads, and meet deadlines. Comfort with technology, including CRM or agency management systems, online quoting platforms, and standard office software. Ability to understand and explain insurance products, policy terms, and coverage options in accessible language. High level of integrity, attention to detail, and adherence to regulatory and compliance guidelines. Active Health & Life insurance license (or willingness to obtain within a defined timeframe); additional lines of authority are a plus. Previous experience in insurance, financial services, or a client-facing role is preferred but not strictly required.
