Associate Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks an associate attorney in Lancaster, Ohio, to join their expanding team. The successful candidate will collaborate with partners and associates across various practice areas, contributing to the firm's success through legal research, document preparation, and client counseling. Duties Conduct thorough legal research and analyze relevant case law and statutes. Draft legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and motions. Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients. Prepare cases for trial by organizing evidence and documentation. Counsel clients on legal matters and guide them through complex regulations. Maintain accurate records of client interactions and case progress. Use legal research tools to support case preparation and strategy development. Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys to provide comprehensive representation. Requirements Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio. Excellent research skills and proficiency with legal research databases. Exceptional writing skills with the ability to produce clear legal documents. Strong negotiation and client advocacy skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Prior law firm experience is preferred but not required; recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio. Skills Excellent research and analytical skills. Strong written and verbal communication abilities. Proficiency with legal research databases. Ability to negotiate effectively and advocate for clients.
